The mode is rewarded after completing the game is only available when starting a new game, meaning that it is not available in the New Game Plus mode. While similar to the Apocalyptic difficulty, it does feature a major difference. Upon one's death, all player data for that save will abruptly be wiped, forcing players to restart the game from the beginning. In other words, Death only has one life.

  • Completing the game on Apocalyptic will also unlock the achievements or trophies for lower difficulties.
