Edit
Only two games have been confirmed in the series thus far, but THQ has confirmed that this will be a series of games, so it is expected that there will be a Darksiders III. In December 2012, THQ declared bankruptcy and was forced to sell off its assets making the future of a possible Darksiders III is currently unknown. Rumours briefly circulated that Crytek would be interested in buying the rights to produce Darksiders III, as most of the people working at Vigil would now be working for Crytek, but this appeared not to be the case as, pending court approval, the rights to the Darksiders IP has been acquired by Nordic Games . They proceeded to create a forum page, where they are asking fans for their thoughts on the first two games, what they liked and disliked, trying to get a clear idea of what people would like to see from a new game. One of the more interesting statements was made by one of the producers of Nordic Games, Reinhard Pollice, saying that: "One thing is for sure: The tale of the four horsemen is not over !".
Considering the first Darksiders features War and Darksiders II features Death, it speculated that future sequels would feature the remaining two Horsemen, Strife and Fury.
