Skeleton Champions are among the strongest of the dead warriors Death faces throughout the Kingdom of the Dead. They wear heavy armor which grants them high defense and wield a huge mace in battle. They seem to serve as leaders of the other dead soldiers as they can be seen issuing commands to them during combat. Whilst not a severe threat when encountered alone, they can be deadly when accompanied by swarms of weaker Skeletons.
Skeleton Champions are encountered frequently during Death's journey but are especially prevalent in the Gilded Arena and Judicator's Tomb. They often attack in pairs along with a pack of Skeletons.
