"All of creation cares not whether you live or die."
|“|| To question them is to question the Creator... do you believe you know better?|
— Azrael to Abaddon
Although largely unseen and rarely mentioned, the Creator is purportedly the maker of all realms and a deity of sorts. It is He who created Heaven, Hell and Earth, and the Old Ones at the beginning of time.
Almost every being in Creation acknowledges the Creator in some way: The Angels revere Him, some Demons scorn Him, and the Charred Council claims to have been charged by the Creator with maintaining balance throughout His Creation. It is said that the Creator spoke to his creations in the distant past, but has long since fallen silent.Details on The Creator are almost non-existent. Though The Creator is powerful enough to have created all the realms, His true nature and intentions for Creation are unknown. Abaddon, a fallen angel, has claimed that the Creator has abandoned all of His creation and those most faithful to Him.
- Whether or not The Creator has actually abandoned His Creation, or for whatever reason prefers to avoid directly interfering in it, remains unclear throughout the story.
- The Creator, like most religious elements in the setting, is likely drawn from Christian apocalyptic beliefs. The degree of similarity remains ambiguous.
- Though his people were not creations of the Creator, Death knows of The Creator's legends and mysteries but he himself only partially believed in Him.
